R.Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending, soloist Cecilia Lamon
Chopin: Piano Concerto No 2 with 15 year-old Clara Sherratt as soloist
Dvorak: Symphony No 7
I drove home on a high because I had been to a concert which was given by a group of players so fired with enthusiasm that it was infectious.
NDS you were amazing tonight. What a fantastic concert with some stunning solos – thoroughly enjoyed it as did the rest of the audience judging by the comments at the end.
I’m not really a classical fan but loved Carmen.. A pleasure to support you all and will be back again…
Their adventurous determination to programme major works from the 19th century deserves attention.
We welcome applications from players of experience or with Grade 7 or above, young and old.
We urgently need percussionists, trumpet/cornet players, and French Horn players.
We welcome experienced Violinists
